What this site does
GridPaperPDF is a library of printable grid paper. You can download a ready-made PDF in the most common sizes, or open a generator and set the square size, colours, margins and paper size yourself. Every sheet is drawn at the exact size you ask for, and you can print it at once or save it as a PDF, PNG or SVG.
What is on the site
- Graph paper from 1 mm to 1 inch, in metric and imperial grids.
- Coordinate plane paper with numbered axes, in four-quadrant and first-quadrant forms.
- Dot grid and isometric paper for journals and 3D sketches.
- Specialist grids: hexagon, polar, semi-log, log-log, and knitting and cross stitch charts.
Why generate the grid
A fixed PDF is fine if it happens to be the size you need. A generated one always is. Spacing is set in real units, so a 1/4 inch grid is 1/4 inch and a 5 mm grid is 5 mm. PDFs and SVGs are vector files, which stay crisp at any size. You can also turn off the heavy lines, add hole-punch guides, or tint the paper.

How it is built
